The First-year Research Immersion program is by invitation only.
If you would like to express your interest in participating in the FRI program, please complete this interest form.
Incoming undergraduate students invited to enroll in the FRI program will receive a formal invitation from Undergraduate Admissions to enroll and should respond to Binghamton University via an online enrollment form. On the enrollment form, Harpur admitted students indicate their top three research stream choices and Watson admitted students indicate their top two research stream choices. After the Binghamton University deposit deadline, students are assigned to a Research Stream.
Admission to the FRI program is guaranteed to those students who have paid their Binghamton enrollment deposit before the FRI slots are filled. Please note that there are only 30 slots per research stream. As a result, you may not receive your first-choice stream.

In doing it myself, however, I've come to see that it is no simple feat, as detailed planning and literature research are needed in determining the methodology, conducting the various tests, and in analyzing the data.
