Binghamton University's First-year Research Immersion (FRI) program provides an outstanding early research experience for students intending to major in science or engineering. These students are immersed in cutting-edge research, along with a mentoring structure that fosters rapid personal and professional growth.
Because this program requires state-of-the-art laboratories stocked with supplies and a lot of supervision of the students by faculty, the demand on resources is high. Consequently, the number of students in the FRI program is limited.
We welcome support of the FRI program, so that we may continue to expand and sustain the education of tomorrow's industry leaders, researchers and academics.
