Binghamton Fund donors support all facets of the University experience, addressing
immediate needs in a way that is crucially flexible and fast.
For example, Binghamton Fund donors made it possible for Pulitzer Prize winners, Guggenheim
fellows, and National Book Critics Circle Award recipients to all come together at
Binghamton.
Because donors cared about making the Binghamton experience exceptional, the University
was able to put on a yearlong Distinguished Writing Series that brought internationally
renowned poets and novelists to speak and read from their amazing work. Especially
during the pandemic, this online videoconference series was a cultural lifeline for
people to remain engaged by art and to continue to feel part of a larger community.
Students, faculty, community members and alumni came away inspired.
