Elevating sexual health
The Decker Student Health Services Center (DSHSC) is committed to an ongoing process
of ensuring that our students who are sexually active feel comfortable and respected
when seeking our services. The DSHSC is an excellent resource for students seeking
testing and/or in need of a prescription. See the below list of sexual health services
that the DSHSC offers.
- Sexually transmitted infection (STI) testingDecker Student Health Services Center (DSHSC) has several options for STI testing,
including multiple free testing options.
- HIV testingThe Decker Student Health Services Center (DSHSC) offers several options for HIV care.
- Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)Each of the medical providers at the DSHSC are able to prescribe PrEP. It is medicine
that reduces your chances of getting HIV from sex or injection drug use when you have
a continuing risk of exposure to HIV.
- Post-exposure Prophylaxis (PEP)Each of the medical providers at the DSHSC are able to prescribe PEP. PEP means taking
medicine to prevent HIV after a possible exposure, and differs from PrEP in that it
is not intended for an individual who has ongoing potential exposures to HIV.
