Special Education Programs
The Children's Unit for Treatment and Evaluation (CUTE) at ICD is a New York State Special Education Department approved non-public special education school. CUTE consists of two special education programs for children primarily with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (or classification of Autism or Multiple Disabilities on their IEP). The preschool program is for children between the ages of 3 and 5 years old and the elementary school program is for children up ages 5 to 11 years old.

Preschool Special Education Evaluations
The Children’s Unit for Treatment and Evaluation is also an approved provider for preschool (CPSE) evaluations in New York State. Children between 3-5 years old are referred for evaluation by the child’s school district, even if the child is not yet enrolled in a district-based educational program. These evaluations are funded by the county health department and are at no cost to families.

Child and Adolescent Diagnostic & Consultation Clinic
The Child and Adolescent Diagnostic and Consultation Clinic (CADCC) is a specialty clinic at ICD that provides a range of services for children and adolescents within our communities. At this time, CADCC provides diagnostic evaluations for children and adolsecents between the ages of 12 months to 17 years, 11 months for a variety developmental, learning, behavioral, and emotional concerns. Consultation services are designed to support school districts with expert training to assist them with meeting the needs of students in district-based classrooms.
