Binghamton University has made a significant investment in SAS, a cutting-edge Business Intelligence platform designed to create custom reporting dashboards that support data-driven decision-making. Our highly-skilled data team at Information Technology Services will help contextualize and visualize the data for your projects. SAS plays a pivotal role in querying the Operation Data Store (ODS).
To ensure that the right information is accessible through the SAS platform, Binghamton University has established the Senior Officers SAS Committee. This committee oversees security and access while ensuring content consistency.

Canned Queires Dashboards
The Canned Queries dashboards are built with data from the Banner Student Information System that have been pre-constructed for end users, who simply need to choose filters from a drop-down list to generate an exportable list of the data they need. Access to these dashboards is available through modern web browsers such as Chrome or Firefox. For remote access, users will need to establish a VPN/Pulse session.

SAS Dashboard Request Form
If the information you need is not available in the Canned Queries, you can request the creation of a new dashboard. Please provide as much advance notice as possible, especially if you have a deadline. Dashboard requests are prioritized based on institutional need at the discretion of the Senior Officers Group. To submit your request, please use the Binghamton University Business Intelligence Dashboard Request Form.
SAS ADHOC Report Request
If you need an adhoc report created, or, if you have a business need for access to sensitive data (ie. Social Security Number, Gender, Ethnicity, Date of Birth, etc.) so that you can create your own reports please submit your request via the Binghamton University Business Intelligence Data Request Form.
