Network & Cloud Storage
H Drive: Individual Network Storage
Every faculty and staff member can request access to individual network storage, referred to as their H drive. If you would like to request an H drive, fill out the network drive request form.
S Drive: Department Network Storage
Department shared drives provide an allocation disk space shared between users in a department. To request access to a department shared drive, a request needs to be made by a supervisor or department drive owner. To request access, fill out the Department Shared Drive request form.
Cloud Storage (Google Drive/ OneDrive)
Faculty, staff, and students have access to cloud storage through both their Google Drive and OneDrive. Users can access Google Drive using their Bmail username and password. Files and folders in Google Drive can be shared with other users inside and outside of the University to enhance collaboration.
Users can access OneDrive by logging into office.com with their Binghamton University email account and password.
Research Storage
ITS provides two dedicated storage options available to researchers: "BingBox" and "Research Storage Classic". Both storage options are encrypted at rest, are stored on campus, and are fully backed up. For more information about research storage options, click here.
Network Storage for Classes
UShares are created for all registered students, and each receive 5GM of network storage.
There is no longer the need to submit a UShare class request for students, but UShares
for faculty are not created automatically. To request access, fill out the Faculty
UShares request form.
