Binghamton University acknowledges that social fraternities and sororities can have a positive impact on the educational and social experiences of members and others in the campus community. For this to happen there must be consistency between University goals and those of individual chapters. This recognition policy provides a mechanism for encouraging consonance of goals and describes the relationship between social fraternities and sororities and the University.
