Presentation Requests

Please fill out and submit the form below to request a presentation for your staff, class, organization, campus club or special event that you will be hosting. Your request will be forwarded to our staff and a specific presenter will be in touch to discuss the details of your request.

Please note, should your program request fall during a similar time of a program already on the Student Employment programs and events calendar or we can not honor your request, we may explore co-sponsorship of that program.

For your requested program, please provide at a minimum one week advance notice and detail any special requests in the "Comments" section below. The Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development

The Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development is dedicated to providing a transformative learning community that prepares students in all majors for advanced education, careers and purposeful living. Human Resources

The Human Resources Department at Binghamton University provides outstanding service and expertise for their customers, who include faculty, staff, graduate and teaching assistants, student assistants, Federal Work-Study, prospective employees and retirees.

Financial Aid

Binghamton University's Financial Aid Office provides resources to students and families to help them make informed decisions regarding their Binghamton education. Go online for information on different types of positions available on the Binghamton campus, as well as answers to any questions you have regarding financial aid packages and Federal Work-Study.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The Binghamton University Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is an assessment, referral and consultation service available to University faculty, staff, graduate student employees, retirees and their dependents. EAP provides access to appropriate professional or community resources to help individuals dealing with a wide range of work and life concerns. EAP also sponsors a series of health and wellness workshops throughout the year, operates a lending library, offers support to employees returning to work after an extended leave of absence, and consults with University managers and supervisors about employee and team issues.

Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DDEI)

The Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion was created from the Binghamton University Road Map strategic planning process and supports the development and implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives that create a welcoming campus climate that exudes a fundamental respect for human diversity in all its dimensions. We view diversity as encompassing all individuals and groups, as well as social, cultural, political, religious and other affiliations. The office is committed to the idea of respect for human diversity in our learning and working environs and to creating an atmosphere where prejudice, harassment and discrimination are unacceptable.

The Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is located in the Glenn G. Bartle Library, LS-G548.

University Center for Training and Development (UCTD)

The University Center for Training and Development exists to provide support and facilitate learning, growth and development for the faculty and staff of Binghamton University. The center is responsible for facilitating and providing professional development offerings, compliance training, wellness sessions and technical training for various applications to graduate students, faculty and staff.

Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT)

Promoting and supporting excellence in student-centered learning for graduate students, faculty and staff of Binghamton University, the Center for Learning and Teaching has information on resources such as tutorial services, learning studios and technology, multimedia and audiovisual support for classrooms and courses.

The National Association of Colleges and Employers, through a task force of college career services and HR/staffing professionals, has developed a definition, based on extensive research among employers, and identified eight competencies associated with career readiness.

Lynda.com

Lynda.com, a LinkedIn company, is an online educational site that includes more than 5,700 courses (and 180,000+ videos) in popular fields like web design, web development, IT, education/instruction, media production and business. Experts create and deliver all courses as well as provide supplemental materials like exercise files and relevant work samples. Users need to create accounts to track course progress, create playlists of potential coursework and keep course notes.

This requires a NYC Public Library card. If you have a NYPL card, you can simply login with the library card number and your library card pin.

If you do not have one of these cards, you can visit the NYPL website and apply for one online following these steps:

Online Training Tool for CSEA, UUP, GSEU, M/C and other union-represented staff

Empire Knowledgebank (EKB) is provided to GSEU, CSEA, UUP and M/C employees by New York state to complete training as a benefit of membership in the union. Access thousands of eLearning courses, eBooks and short-course videos for opportunities to enhance your professional and career development, for certification preparation and continuing education in a variety of areas. To apply to access this content, staff must complete the Empire Knowledgebank access form. This program is available through March 31, 2019.

Student Employee Appreciation Day

This is an annual event led by the President's Office and co-sponsored by the Fleishman Center and Student Employment Office. This event occurs every year in late Spring and recognizes the contributions and hard work of our student employees on campus.
