AUDIO BRIDGE CONFERENCING

Welcome to Binghamton University's Telecommunications Department Audio Bridge Conference Services. The Telecommunications Department maintains an Audio Bridge capable of conferencing up to 50 people. This bridge is available free of charge to campus users (current faculty and staff).

How to Reserve the Audio Bridge:

To reserve the Audio Bridge conference service, simply follow these steps:

  1. Email the Telecom office at telecom@binghamton.edu.
  2. Include the following information in your email:
    • Contact Name
    • Contact Phone Number
    • Department
    • Date and Time Needed
    • Duration of the conference
    • Number of Participants

Access Instructions:

Once your reservation is confirmed, you will receive an access code from our dedicated Telecommunications staff. Share the following instructions and access code with your conference participants:

  1. Dial 7-3200 (on campus) or 607-777-3200 (off campus).
  2. Enter the provided access code, followed by the # key.
  3. A brief tone will indicate your successful entry into the conference call.
  4. To conclude the call, simply hang up your telephone.

Toll-Free Option

We offer a toll-free number for participants who require it. Please note that there is a charge of $0.05 per minute, per participant for toll-free conference call usage.

Additional Notes:

  • When a new participant joins your call, a notification tone will alert you to their presence.
  • If a participant hangs up during the conference call, a short burst tone will interrupt the call, indicating their departure.
